The Rose Theatre is a charity-run theatre venue hosting local and visiting productions and regular live music concerts.

The Rose is a modern, fully equipped theatre, seating 181, including two wheelchair spaces, and in addition a free-form Studio that seats up to 60 people in a totally variable configuration. The Theatre is owned and administered as a Charitable Trust by The Nonentities, an amateur society promoting both amateur and professional plays and entertainments throughout the year.

In November 2017 Major Cooling & Heating Ltd were asked to do a complete air-conditioning installation including the 181 seated-auditorium, studio and Green Room. They also need substantial rewiring which was completed by sister company Ford Electrical Ltd.

To ensure you can completely lose yourself in a performance it helps if you're able to sit in a comfortable environment, neither too hot or too cold. With such a large area to regulate a powerful Mitsubishi air-conditioning unit was chosen with wired controls.

The busy theatre was gearing up to it's Christmas shows and all work areas had to be cleaned and tidied of any tools and equipment every evening ready for the evening's performances.

Major's expert, reliable service and conscientious engineering team completed the work to tight deadlines - ensuring staff could get ready for the evening shows. The whole project was completed in just four days with no interruption to the scheduled evening shows.
